The Value Of Friends...

As you know -- inspiration for this blog can come from anywhere -- at any time -- and be about any darn thing. Today, I'm posting some random pictures from Expo...and there's a poem at the end that came to me via a forwarded email. I love it...

This is a picture of me and Joanne Ross, the Chair of the show. It is the last day and we are GIDDY...

This is a pic of Ann Sagawa and Janet York -- backstage on the LAST DAY of the show -- also giddy. They might even be a little euphoric...the show has gone REALLY, REALLY WELL...and it's almost over...

Here's a backstage shot of the Midwest Ya Ya Sisters with their stalkers...Judy and Chris are best friends who COME TO THE SHOW EVERY YEAR...

And I hope you got a chance to meet Helen and Wendy at last year's Pink & Red Event. Two of our favorite girlfriends -- coming to the show together for 15+ years. For me, their story epitomizes the value of women friends....

This summer, I got to spend a few days in Chicago with my friend Marion -- and we always talk about how important it is to live in the moment and enjoy every single day...

So I want to share this poem -- and encourage you to CALL YOUR GIRLFRIENDS and plan something special. Do it today...

To realize
The value of a sister/brother
Ask someone
Who doesn't have one.

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.

To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when
You can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:
LOSE ONE.

Remember....

Hold on tight to the ones you love!
