Deena and Norman Rockwell

If you're doing it right -- life is full of big moments and little ones. Recently, our family shared one of the big ones. In my sister Deena's back yard, there was another baptism. Wow. Deena does these things really, really well....Honestly, as I write this, I feel like I'm describing a Norman Rockwell painting....
Dawson is about to be baptized. (his parents, Kelcy and Andy...and Godparents, Brenda and Toby). Family friend, Pastor Ruth doing the honors...

Family and friends, all seated in the yard, on chairs or blankets...

There was live music...and a program...

It was a sunny day (but the great-Grandma's wanted bigger blankets)

Warren just wanted another chance to TAKE A RIDE ON THAT FABULOUS MERRY GO ROUND...

Of course, Deena made his Baptism outfit.
After the Baptism, we ate a delicious lunch inside the Morton building. Deena made ham, turkey, cheesy hashbrowns (her signature dish), Mandarin orange salad (there's another one), a seven-layer lettuce salad....OH MY...all so delicious.

And, as if cooking lunch for 30 people wasn't enough fun -- SHE HAD A CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN...!!

It was a beautiful day.  Made all the more memorable because of what we know now.  That nothing lasts forever, and babies grow up too fast....and YOU MUST ENJOY THE MOMENTS....because time really, really does fly by....
Me and Deena with Dawson. Most likely -- our last baby....yes, I'm crying...
