Pinceton Dance Marathon

The Dance Marathon is a student organization at the University of Iowa that raises money to support the families of children who are battling cancer. I first became aware of this group when my six year old grand-nephew, Ambrose, was diagnosed with leukemia.

During his treatment at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, the family received support from the Dance Marathon team. In such common sense ways as -- Casey's gas cards,  money for the cafeteria, to buy groceries or pay for parking...

Recently, they had an event at the Community Center in Princeton, Iowa...Lilly LOVES TO DANCE..

Although the room was too dark to get any decent pictures -- that's my grand-nephew Cale up there, with his guitar and his BAND...
The little kids had a great time, dancing...
Doing a boy vs. girl version of the "ne-ne"...
Then, a line dance -- with Lilly in her LOVE jacket on the end...
The Dance Marathon team earned a permanent place in our hearts when they took such good care of Ambrose...
Cale and Ambrose were in the same grade, but Ambrose only got to complete the first grade.  I took this video when their class graduated from elementary school...  Cale was just learning how to play his guitar...the poster was a photo of Ambrose.

Wow...where does the time go, eh?

There will be a big Dance Marathon event at the North Scott High School on December 10.  If you
