Our Final Christmas Activity

The VERY LAST Christmas activity was December 26th -- the day after Christmas.  It was a children's play, "Jingle Aargh The Way" at Circa 21, the wonderful dinner theater in Rock Island, Illinois.

Circa 21 is a very unique venue -- and we are SO LUCKY to have it in the area.  They do a full theater schedule, every week, ALL YEAR LONG.  Professional actors and singers audition for the shows, and THEY ARE AMAZING.  As an extra bonus, the Bootlegger's (wait staff) all sing and dance as well.

This was Warren's first play, and I wanted him to love it...
Of course, Lilly knew what to expect, and she was excited for him.
These people really know what they're doing! For one thing -- the show was only 90 minutes long, and there was no boring intermission. YEAH, CIRCA!!

Afterwards, the cast went out to the lobby and the kids could get autographs and take pictures.
Lilly was thrilled to see the characters up close...
She waited her turn to see every single actor...
The girl, playing a boy, who was the star of the show.
Where was Warren?? Well...he's struggling with how to be social with other people right now. I'm sure it's a stage...but he buried his head in my behind....
Lilly took this picture. I think he enjoyed his first play...but he acted like these Pirates were really going to make him walk the plank...
Don't worry, buddy...I've got your back!!
